Khichdi is one of my favorite dishes not only for its simplicity but also because it is wholesome and nutritious. Whole green gram legume is rich in proteins and fiber and when combined with rice as in this recipe. Moong Dal Khichdi is a healthy and comforting meal made with rice and lentils. You can cook Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi using 15 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi

  1. Prepare 1/4 cup of rice.
  2. It's 2 tbsp of green Moog dal.
  3. You need 1/4 cup of Lilva (tuver Dana).
  4. It's 1/4 cup of finely chopped spring onion.
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of green garlic finely chopped.
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup of finely chopped coriander.
  7. You need 8-10 of Curry leaves.
  8. Prepare 1tbsp of saunf.
  9. You need 1tbsp of Dhaniya jeera powder.
  10. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Hing.
  12. You need 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
  13. You need 1 of green tomato finely chopped.
  14. You need 2 tbsp of ghee.
  15. You need 1/4 of grated coconut.

Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi step by step

  1. Soak rice and dal for 1/2 hour..
  2. Heat pan pour 2 tbsp ghee.when ghee melts add saunf,green chilli,curry leaves,garlic,onion leaves,hing & saute for a while.
  3. Add lilava,green tomato,rice,dal salt, dhaniya jeera powder,grated coconut,chopped coriander and stir well.
  4. Add 2 Cups water and cook on slow flame.
  5. Tasty khichdi is ready.Serve hot khichdi with Green garlic Papad & Spring onion.

Whole green gram legume is rich in proteins and fiber and when Khichdi is wholesome and nutritious. This dish can be served with Papad / Raitha.
