Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi. Moong dal khichdi is a easy and quick dish to make, even an amateur cook cannot go wrong with it. This recipe is a variation to the normal moong khichdi which is flavourful and spicy. Serve the spicy moong dal khichdi immediately with kadhi.
Ingredients of Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi
- Prepare 1/4 cup of rice.
- It's 2 tbsp of green Moog dal.
- You need 1/4 cup of Lilva (tuver Dana).
- It's 1/4 cup of finely chopped spring onion.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of green garlic finely chopped.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of finely chopped coriander.
- You need 8-10 of Curry leaves.
- Prepare 1tbsp of saunf.
- You need 1tbsp of Dhaniya jeera powder.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Hing.
- You need 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
- You need 1 of green tomato finely chopped.
- You need 2 tbsp of ghee.
- You need 1/4 of grated coconut.
It's lightly seasoned, wholesome and good for you! Serve this moong dal khichdi with a dollop of ghee on top and yogurt & pickle on the side! Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi step by step
- Soak rice and dal for 1/2 hour..
- Heat pan pour 2 tbsp ghee.when ghee melts add saunf,green chilli,curry leaves,garlic,onion leaves,hing & saute for a while.
- Add lilava,green tomato,rice,dal salt, dhaniya jeera powder,grated coconut,chopped coriander and stir well.
- Add 2 Cups water and cook on slow flame.
- Tasty khichdi is ready.Serve hot khichdi with Green garlic Papad & Spring onion.
Whole green gram legume is rich in proteins and fiber and when Khichdi is wholesome and nutritious. This dish can be served with Papad / Raitha.
