- It's Small piece of ginger cut into juliens.
- Prepare 2-3 of green chillies, chopped finely.
- It's 1 medium sized of onion thinly sliced.
- It's 1 tsp of red chilli flakes.

- Mix dal & rice in a mixing bowl, wash it, soak in water for 1 hour..

- Add water accordingly so as to keep it a lil thick (not mashy)..
- Place the lid, give 4-5 whistles at high flame..
- Switch off the flame, open the lid after 5 minutes of cooling. Keep aside..
- Now take a pan, add ghee, heat it..
- Moderate the flame, add hing & zeera, let it splutter..
- Add laung & kali mirch, saute it for a while..
- Add ginger & green chilli, saute it for a while..
- Now add onion, stir fry it at high flame till brown..
- Switch off the flame now, add red chilli flakes, give a stir..
- Mix this tadke with cooked Khichdi. Cover it again..
- Take out in a serving bowl, have it with chutney, dahi,papad, salad & desi ghee..
