- Soak the chana dal for 3-4 hrs. Prepare the moong sprouts..
- In a panboil the sprouts and soaked chana dal for 7-10 mins in without cover till half cooked..
- Strain the half cooked dal properly and let it cool down.
- Then coarsely grind the the boiled items without adding water..
- Add chopped onion, green chili, cornflour, oregano, Salt to the coarsely ground dal mixture and mix thoroughly beith 2 tsp of water..
- Prepare small ball and press it with palm and make it like a tikki..
- In a tawa, add very little oil and fry the tikkis both side till golden brown..
- Protein rich tikkis are ready to serve with green chutney or tomato sauce..
As my this year plan is to start posting reader request this is one of those requested recipe. I not really a big sprouts fan other than for moong dal, any other sprout I can easily give a miss.
