Dahi Vada (Dahi Bhalla) step by step

  1. Clean the white lentil & soak in enough water for 4-5 hours or overnight..
  2. After soaking as required time drain all water from white lentil & transfer it into a blender jar blend into smooth thick paste (use minimum water)..
  3. Transfer white lentil into a bowl add cumin seeds & salt. Now with wet hands blend white lentl in one direction then your vada / bhalla will be light & fluffy (blend for 7-8 min)..
  4. Heat up oil in frying pan on medium heat. Take a spoonful mixture of white lentil paste in your wet hands drop vada / bhalla in hot oil carefully at a time add 3-4 fry them till golden in colour. Take out from oil drain excess oil & transfer in plate..
  5. In a bowl take lukewarm water drop vadas / bhallas in it and soak for 7-8 min. Then take vada out sqeeze water with your hands. Transfer vadas / bhallas in serving plate..
  6. In serving plate put on vadas / bhallas, add curd (In a bowl take curd add sugar and salt and mix put in the refrigerator for sometime) add red chilli powder roasted cumin powder add chat masala add tamarind chutney, green chutney and sev.Graniish with some fresh Coriander leaves..
