  1. You need 2 cups of urad dal.
  2. Prepare 1 cup of Dahi.
  3. Prepare of 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger.

  6. It's 1 of tspn roasted and crushed jeera and ajwain.
  7. It's 1 tablespoon of chopped onions.
  8. You need of Sugar as desired.

  5. Heat oil in a kadhai for frying the vadas. Fry them till golden brown. Add them to a bowl of water quickly and soak them for about 5 minutes. If your vadas are bigger in size, apprx 10 mins then..
  6. Gently remove the excess water from vadas, place them on serving plate, pour beaten dahi on top of them..
  7. Sprinkle some red mirchi powder, chat masala,roasted crushed jeera-ajwain, cilantro and sev.. U can add some chutney,i was out of tamarind else would have put it..

I tried dahi vada, but it turned out bland because there was no saltin the vada only in yogurt.
