Ingredients of Oats Appe/Appe Dahi Vada

  1. Prepare 1 cup of oats, plain oats.
  2. You need 1/2 cup of rava / bombay rava / semolina / sooji.
  3. It's 1 1/2 cup of curd.
  4. Prepare As needed of water, to make butter milk.
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of sugar.
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of rock salt.
  7. You need 1 tsp of asafoetida (hing).
  8. It's as needed of pomegranate (for garnishing).
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Eno.
  10. It's 4-5 of cashews chopped.
  11. You need 5-7 of raisins.
  12. You need to taste of salt.

Oats Appe - A quick n healthy snack that can be packed for kid's tiffins. Make a thick batter with the semolina, oats, yoghurt, water and salt.   1. Take oats and sooji in a large size bowl and mix 1/2 cup of curd to it.Add water as desired.Keep it aside for 30 minutes. (Batter should be think).
  2. Now add raisins, chopped cashews, salt, asafoetida, 4 tsp of water mix the battter. it's time to heat the appe / appo pan (i used non-stick pan so no oil)(if you a different appo/appe pan then grease the pan with 1-2tsp of oil).
  3. Now add the eco into the batter and mix only once. Put the batter in appo/appe pan cover and cook on medium heat..
  4. After 7-8 minutes remove the cover and cook on other side. Do the same with rest of the batter. Once you have prepared all the appo/appe dip them in a butter milk for 1/2 hr..
  5. Plating Time now- take a serving plate -place the wet oats appo/appe, pour 3-4 tsp of curd (curd should be mixed with salt and sugar), then green chutney, tamarind chutney, aloo bhujiya and few pomegranate seeds..
