- You need 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
- It's 1/2 tsp of Sugar.

Spicy dahi vada aloo dum step by step
- Wash urad dal and soak it for 2 hours at least..
- Grind it, not very thick nor thin. Medium consistency..
- Now add grated ginger, chopped green chilli and hing. Mix it well and beat it for 4-5 minutes..
- Now take a pan, add oil for deep frying..
- Make balls, make a hole in between and fry..
- After frying soak it in water for 1 minute..
- Let's prepare the dahi, beat the dahi well, add 1 cup water, mix, now add jeera red chilli powder, black salt, salt, grated ginger and mix.
- Now take 2 green chillies and make a paste and add to the dahi..
- Now add the fried vadas. Soak it for minimum half an hour..
- Let's make aloo dum. Boil the potatoes, peel it and cut it into four pieces..
- Take a wok, add oil, once hot add jeera, chopped onions and fry till slight change in color..
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Fry till tomatoes softens..
- Now add chopped green chillies and all the spices mentioned in the ingredients. Cook it well..
- Add boiled potatoes and 2 cups of water. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes and it's done..
- Time for plating. Take a big bowl add 2-3 dahi vada, some aloo dum and garnish it with chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves and green chilli. Add sev and serve hot..
