  2. You need of Onion 3 chopped.
  3. It's of Garlic cloves 6 chopped.

My recipe calls for dried fenugreek leaves, also known as kasoori methi, easily found at your local Indian grocery store or online.   1. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add Onion and garlic cloves and cook until saute..
  2. Then add salt, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, cumin and black pepper powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder..
  3. Cook it until oil comes up and tomatoes becomes paste and cook well. (Add water if required to cook spices).
  4. Then add the cubes potato, methi leaves and green chilli. Add 1 glass water & Stir well..
  5. Cover it to cook for 5 mins at high flame then turn it to low flame (keep stirring in between) until the leaves are cooked, the moisture dries out and the potatoes are done.
  6. Methi Aloo is ready Serve with roti, rice or Naan..
