  1. You need as needed of Oil.
  2. You need 1/2 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
  3. It's 1pinch of Asafoetida.
  4. It's 1 of chopped onion.
  5. It's 1 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  6. Prepare as per taste of Chopped green chilli.
  7. Prepare 3 of potato pieces.
  8. Prepare as per taste of Salt.
  9. You need 1pinch of turmeric powder.
  10. You need 1 tsp of Dry Coriander.
  11. You need 2 of tomato chopped.
  12. You need 2 bunches of Chopped methi leaves.
  13. It's 3/4 tsp of Garam masala.
  14. You need as needed of Green Coriander(optional).

This aloo methi recipe has a lot of flavor and bitterness of methi (fenugreek) leaves combined with the earthy flavor and taste of potatoes. It is less spiced and a dry vegetable sabzi. Aloo methi step by step

  1. In a kadhai take oil add jeera, Hing, fry then add Onion pieces, green chillies chopped, ginger garlic paste..
  2. Add Potato pieces fry a little add salt and sprinkle little water and cover until the potatoes becomes soft..
  3. Then add tomato pieces,chopped methi leaves and coriander Leaves, add garam masala, Chilli powder, turmeric powder,dry Coriander powder, fry a little and cover it for sometime..
  4. Serve hot with Chappathi..

Spinach is not the only healthy leafy green vegetable. Mix fresh Methi Leaves with potatoes for this delicious and healthy subzi. The kids won't even notice the greens mixed in with their favorite - potatoes! But you can serve with paratha too. To complete the meal, also have dal-rice on side.
