Methi aloo. Potatoes and fenugreek leaves are a lovely combination together. At home, I make aloo methi two ways. One is this Punjabi recipe and the other is my mom's version of Methi aloo with garlic and onions.
Ingredients of Methi aloo
- Prepare of Methi.
- It's 2 of Potato.
- You need 1 of Tomato.
- It's of Oil.
- You need of Ginger garlic green chillies paste.

Methi aloo instructions
- First boil methi in cooker after 2 whistle turn off gas. Then fry the potato in pan separately.
- Now take pan add oil and Ginger garlic green chilli paste.
- When colour change light brown add boil methi on high falme.
- After 2 min add tomatoes and masala like red chilli turmeric,salt,ddaniya powder.
- Now add fry potato and slow gas for 5 min...and it's ready to eat.
Aloo Methi is quick and easy to cook and is a great comfort food. Cooking the slightly bitter Fenugreek Leaves along with the potatoes imparts a distinct flavor to the dish.
