Ingredients of Dum Aloo
- You need 300 gm of Baby Potatoes (boiled and skin peeled).
- Prepare 2 of tblspn Multi Purpose Gravy (see recipe).
- It's 1 of tspn Ginger-Garlic paste.
- You need 1 of tspn Red chilli powder.
- You need 1/2 of tspn Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 of tblspn coriander powder.
- You need 1/2 of tspn Garam masala.
- Prepare 1 of tblspn Kasoori methi (crushed).
- It's to taste of Salt.
- You need of Oil.
The baby potatoes are first deep fried, then cooked slowly at low flame in a gravy with spices. Aloo Dum is an exotic delicious main dish. Just the smell of aloo dum can make you hungry! To make this dish, potatoes are fried and then soaked in the spicy aromatic gravy.
Dum Aloo instructions
- Boil the potatoes and remove the skin..
- Take a pan, add oil. Once oil is hot add multi purpose gravy and roast it on low flame..
- Now add all masala and roast it on low flame..
- Add baby Potatoes and mix it well. Add salt and 1/2 cup water. Mix it well..
- Cover the pan and cook it on low flame for another 10 minutes..
- It's ready to serve. Serve hot with Roti or Naan or your choice of breads..
