Hyderabadi Besan ki Kadhi and Pakoras. Today, I am sharing my recipe for Hyderabadi dahi ki kadhi or yogurt kadhi. Pakoda or fritters are made with besan or chickpeas flour and are later added to the kadhi. I love to cook kadhi in Instant Pot, its so much quicker, then making it in a traditional way, without compromising on taste or flavors.
Ingredients of Hyderabadi Besan ki Kadhi and Pakoras
- You need of FOR KADHI-.
- You need 1/2 kg of Curd.
- It's 6-7 of Green chillies slit.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Salt.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- It's 1 of Onion thinly sliced.
- You need 1/4 cup of Gram flour.
- It's 2 Sprigs of Curry Leaves.
- It's 2 cups of Water.
- You need of FOR THE PAKORAS -.
- You need 1 1/2 cups of Gram Flour.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Salt.
- You need 1 tsp of Cumin powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
- It's of I tsp Red chilli powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Coriander leaves finely chopped.
- Prepare 2 of Onions thinly sliced.
- It's 1 cup of Water or as required.
- Prepare of FOR TEMPERING -.
- You need 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
- It's 2 tbsp of Oil.
- Prepare 4-5 of Dry Red chillies.

- Beat curd well along with water at first. Add all the ingredients mentioned and cook on a low heat so that it doesn't curdle. To this Curd mixture, add Gram Flour. Mix Gram Flour with little water to make a slurry and add it to the cooking pot with Curd so that it is free of any lumps. After 15-20 minutes of cooking, when the raw smell fades away. It's almost done. The thickness depends on your choice altogether..
- Meanwhile make a semi thick batter for the Pakoras using all the ingredients mentioned. Drop small balls into hot Oil. Deep fry on a medium-high heat until done. Keep some aside and drop the others in the prepared Kadhi. Cover and let it soak before serving. Serve this comfort meal with Simple Boiled Rice. Enjoy!.
